Dear Friends,

When we ask the people in most any group how many have donated to Goodwill or shopped in our stores, we’re always impressed how many hands go up.  And if you are one of those, we thank you for being part of The Goodwill Promise.

You see, when you donate to or shop at Goodwill, you become partners in our mission.  You help create revenue that supports the 20 Goodwill programs and services that improve lives and our communities.  And that’s really what Goodwill is all about.

Here are some highlights of how we helped this past year:

  • Directly served 36,499 people through 20 Goodwill programs and services.
  • Provided 2,164 team members with wages and benefits totaling more than $22 million.
  • Assisted 1,638 people with tax help as a “super site” for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), resulting in federal refunds of more than $1.2 million.
  • Educated more than 5,000 through 150 FISC financial workshops and presentations and provided direct counseling and planning help to another 3,600 people.
  • Put plans in place for new stores in Green Bay and Antigo in 2008.
  • Received 30,107,166 pounds (more than 15,053 tons) of donated goods.
  • Handled 2,147,032 purchase transactions in our 19 stores.
  • Hosted three seminars for colleagues from other Goodwills as one of five retail training sites for Goodwill Industries International.
  • Celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Goodwill Community Center Campus in Menasha.
  • Received the first annual Diversity Award from the New North, the 18-county Northeast Wisconsin economic development initiative, for our contribution to diversity efforts.

If you were a partner with us in 2007, we thank you.  If you were not, we invite you to support Goodwill NCW by donating your gently used goods, by shopping in our stores, and/or by making a cash donation.  Your contributions will help us continue to deliver on our promise to improve lives and our communities in 2008.

Sincerely,
