Goodwill NCW built its store complex at 1100 Morning Glory Lane in Rib Mountain. The 26,844-square foot building includes 3,113 square feet of space for the Talent Shop, with the remaining 23,731 square feet devoted to the new store. The general contractor was Ghidorzi Construction Co.
“We are pleased to be able to enhance people’s shopping experiences by having a Goodwill store and the Talent Shop under one roof,” said Wendy Shoemaker, director of retail stores for Goodwill NCW. “We think shoppers will be impressed when they step inside our new facility.”
The Rib Mountain store is our second store in the greater Wausau area. Goodwill also operates a store in Weston at 2713 Schofield Ave.
Joining the Goodwill store in Rib Mountain is the Talent Shop, a nonprofit consignment shop featuring unique handcrafted items made by area artisans age 50 and older. The shop had previously been located in downtown Wausau. At its new site, the Talent Shop has more retail space to showcase its broad variety of quality items such as quilts, custom furniture, seasonal decorations, baby items and dollhouses. The addition of windows is just one of the features that Goodwill NCW has been using with its new and remodeled stores since 2010. The Rib Mountain store also has an attractive brick exterior, tall twin columns with a canopy at the store’s main entrance, and a large canopy over a double-lane drive-thru at the donation door.
