How is information collected and used for digital and SMS advertising?

Information collected by our advertising service providers through cookies and other technologies may include browsing behavior, referring sites, your response to advertisements and your individual preferences. Data collected in this manner is only used to improve our advertising. No personal information about you is shared with those third-party ad networks.

Other websites where you see our ads, such as Facebook, may use interest preferences that you have chosen on those sites, as well as registration and other information about you, to choose which ads to display to you.  Some internet browsers, websites (i.e. Facebook) and mobile devices offer opt-outs for interest-based advertising.  Please refer to the website that you are visiting, your browser and/or your device settings for additional information.

You can opt-out of receiving interest-based ads from third parties who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or who follow the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising by visiting their opt-out pages.

Through the use of the Service, Goodwill NCW will receive the following information from our third party Service provider: your mobile phone number when you send a text message to us and the content of messages that you send to us, including comments or feedback regarding the Service.

Goodwill NCW requires that users of SMS Service be limited to US residents only. Promotions and updates received through the Service are only valid for Goodwill NCW retail stores and training centers and other locations within our region.

The SMS Service is not intended for children under 13, and Goodwill NCW does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Children aged 13 or older should not submit any PII without the permission of their parents or guardian. By using the Service, you are representing that you are at least 18, or that you are at least 13 years old and have your parents’ permission to use the Service.

However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have PII deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use PII relating to that individual in any way moving forward.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?

We will let our Visitors and Authorized Customers know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that could disclose PII that a Visitor or Authorized Customer previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such Visitor or Authorized Customer to allow such Visitor or Authorized Customer to prevent such disclosure.
