Bring Good Home with thrifters’ decorative collectibles
When searching for collectibles for their homes, Shelley Cullen of Appleton and Kim Hageman of Oshkosh might have different tastes, but they have one thing in common. They both turn to Goodwill for artwork for home sweet home.
For Kim, a lifetime thrifter, one of her favorite finds is a surreal art sculpture in the shape of a large wooden shoe. The unique piece matches her one-of-a-kind personality.
“I love adding to the thrifted collection in my home. Every room in my house has pieces I’ve thrifted since I was 18.”
When Shelley, who shops regularly for her herself and her three children at Goodwill, found the decorative globe that now has taken up residence on her mantle, she knew she had to buy this little piece of heaven.
She often says to her youngest, “Ava, you have the whole world in your hands.”
And now she does. Literally.
