Fashionista: Monochromatic look with help from Goodwill
Who knew about the monochromatic look?
I’m learning as I go, GW shoppers. A monochromatic look is about putting pieces together that are the same tone. It’s stylish, classy and easy to do.
So how can I achieve this look without looking too matchy-matchy?
Here are a few tips: Start with a basic color, add pieces of the same tone family but use a variety of textures.
I began with a pair of jeans in warm white. For interesting textures, I added the crocheted sweater and a fluffy, soft infinity scarf.
A look so easy to do! Who knew?
Try this look in black or even a vivid color.
You probably have some of the building blocks for several monochromatic looks in your closet right now. Check out your local Goodwill to complete the looks or add some fun accessories, like that infinity scarf — a true steal of a deal!
Here’s the cost breakdown of my outfit: Jimmy Brand jeans on clearance, $1.99; Melbourne element sweater, $4.99; Maurices infinity scarf with original tag still on at $24.95 marked $4.99 at Goodwill; belt, $1.99.
I always check out the accessory department.
Have fun shopping at your local GW, where it pays to save while supporting job training and other opportunities in your community.
