Fashionista: Thrift shopping all about individualized style
Do you remember the Goodwill commercial that featured a man with a purple paisley shirt in his closet?
Well, he donated the purple paisley shirt to Goodwill and, voila, a Goodwill shopper was thrilled with that find and said, “Yes! A purple paisley shirt!”
That was my thought on this bright pink and green shirt with monkeys on it. It looked like a Lily Pulitzer shirt to me! Now, I know there are GW shoppers who would take one look and say, “Ew, I would never wear that!”
But that’s what Goodwill is all about — finding pieces that YOU love, clothing that makes YOU happy and that’s unique to your own personal style.
Here are my favorite clothing finds: bright green and pink zipped shirt, $4.99; white Old Navy shorts, $1.99 on clearance; Lina purse, $5.99; and Montego Bay Club sandals, $4.99.
So, GW shoppers, create your own BeYOUtiful look!
