Shelley the Goodwill thrifter’s lamp find
Friends ask me frequently about my thrift-store shopping adventures. I love to thrift, bargain shop and go to yard sales, and it’s well-known in my social circle.
I always get excited over a great deal and the thrill of the hunt! I typically look for items that can be used in my home, are inexpensive or provide a fun project re-do.
On a recent trip to my local Goodwill, I found this beautiful lamp. I had found it online from a national retailer selling for $100. I paid $9.99 for it.
As I was carrying it to the front to check out, two customers stopped and said how beautiful it was and that it was a great find. Score!
This lamp is modern and industrial looking and fits so well with my decor. It’s a heavy metal base with a glass shade for a true industrial look that coordinates perfectly with my furniture. I put it in my living room and got a vintage Edison bulb for an even trendier finish.
Now to sit under it with a good book.
