Goodwill NCW teams up with Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for Random Acts of Kindness Night at the Ballpark
Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are partnering on a fun night at the Grand Chute ballpark Saturday, July 28, with Random Acts of Kindness Night at the Ballpark.
During that Saturday night game against the Kane County Cougars, the Timber Rattlers staff will hand out gift cards, food vouchers and future game tickets to unsuspecting fans as a Random Act of Kindness.
The first 1,000 fans through the gates at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium will receive a co-branded Goodwill/Timber Rattlers T-shirt and a chance to celebrate the players, families and volunteers of the Miracle Leagues of the Fox Valley, Lakeshore and Green Bay.
Miracle League baseball gives young people (ages 4-19) with disabilities the chance to play ball on a special rubberized field, to allow them to use assistive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) while they’re accompanied on-field by a volunteer buddy.
The Fox Valley and Lakeshore Miracle Leagues are programs of Goodwill NCW; the Green Bay Miracle League is a program of the Allouez Optimists Club.
In the week before the game, the Timber Rattlers’ popular mascot, Fang, will be present in Fox Valley Goodwill retail stores, giving away tickets to the July 28 game.
Here’s the game-day promotional lineup:
- Miracle League players throw out the first pitches
- Miracle League player parade to the home team dugout and participation in player introductions
- Co-branded T-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans
- Goodwill NCW information table with coupon giveaways
- A 30-second, in-game Goodwill Miracle League video shown on video scoreboard
- Random giveaways throughout the night to fans
- Scheels will give away a kayak designed for wounded veterans.
