Neighborhood Partners

NP-GW_Final_PMS

Neighborhood Partners, including its elder-focused component NeighborCARE, is a grassroots, asset-based approach to supporting communities at a neighborhood level where all people can work together to produce the quality of life they want and deserve. This work builds the capacity and leadership of neighbors to build relationships, determine their priorities and take action together to transform the place where they live through such initiatives as the Neighborhood Partners Network, Neighbor Ed (intergenerational education opportunities) and other community-driven focus areas.

Neighborhood Partners/NeighborCARE help coordinate the resources of the private for profit, private nonprofit and government sectors to support the work. A special focus of the NeighborCARE work is to use the asset-based approach to reduce isolation, especially among other adults who want to age in place.

As a not-for-profit human services organization, Goodwill NCW uses the revenue from our stores to fund a wide variety of innovative programs and services that serve north central Wisconsin communities. In many cases, we collaborate with community partners, who also bring resources to the cause.

Some of these programs create jobs, offer training, and match assistive technology to those who need it. Others address financial, educational, developmental or diversity issues. All make our communities better places in which to live.
